This is a great opportunity for an exceptional finance professional to develop and drive a new treasury and investor relations function. We are looking for a driven leader to deliver this function to both WEL Networks and Ultrafast Fibre, through a WEL Group shared service.

Ultrafast Fibre Ltd is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of high speed broadband services across the central North Island. Our Hamilton based team is the hub of the fastest growing Ultra-fast Broadband network in the country as we move ahead with our UFB2 Build Programme. WEL Group are continuously identifying and investing in new technologies that will modernise our network and future-proof our region.
Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, this role will ensure all policies, procedures and practices are compliant, and effectively manage financial risks, banking and regulatory relationships, working capital and insurance cover for WEL Group.
There will be a strong focus on providing expertise to support the Group CFO, Chief Executives for both WEL Networks and Ultrafast Fibre and the WEL Group Board by improving and reporting on capital structure and allocation, financial risk management, funding and compliance.
Utilising your strong relationship and interpersonal skills you will deliver credible and thorough overviews of new approaches regarding debt issuance and augment.
Effective leadership of initiatives to minimise treasury risk
Ensuring key compliance requirements are implemented effectively and in a timely manner
Proactively manage insurance cover and claims for the WEL Group
Enhance effective decision making that drives performance for both companies by providing relevant and timely treasury and investor relations analysis and advice
Develop collaborative stakeholder relationships for all treasury-related matters internally and externally
